I fitted one of those to replace an old manual valve. All is fine with the unit and it does correctly open and close depending upon the flow demand. I have a system with TRVs on nearly all radiators so having one of those is essential to protect the pump. However, be careful with the red dial. When you want to adjust it ONLY loosen the screw enough for it to turn. DO NOT remove the screw as the red and inner black dial will fall off. There are no clear instructions supplied from Honeywell on how to reset this - I used a search engine to find the answer. Also, be careful to note that you need to turn the the outer black dial about 2.5 turns before the indicator moves one position. When you turn the dial BOTH the outer and inner dials move. This is normal operation due to the design but is not mentioned in the Honeywell instructions so could be confusing. Overall rating based on quality/operation of product but takes into account the need for Honeywell to provide clearer instructions.Read full review
