How to re-attach a dental crown Remove any remnants of the old product inside the crown that could prevent the new product from adhering correctly.Dry the crown so that the material adheres perfectly to the walls.Clean the tooth stump, by careful brushing, try to prevent the stump from being bathed in too much saliva by protecting it with cotton wool along the gum line.Apply the paste mixture that you have prepared using a spatula to the inside of the crown, you have a few minutes before it hardens to put the crown back in its place.Avoid chewing on the side where you have recemented the crown to allow the cement to fully set.Do not eat sticky foods (nougat, caramel, etc.)Lastly, remove the remaining product that has spilled around your gum line, as this may cause a little pain.
