Best driver value on the market!

The G20 is 2 generations old at this time but I think it performs as good as any club on the market! The adjustability craze is way over rated as most average golfers have no clue how to properly adjust the club head. The G20 Stiff shaft that has a relatively high kick point is perfect for hard swingers with up to 100mph swing speeds. Its a great deal, so buy it!

    Needs some serious shaft work

I and several others tried the club. It appears the shaft was not set in the club head correctly .. ... perhaps the shaft needs to be spline aligned ? ... Not a playable club as is...

  • Nearly Perfect

For the price, it's tough to complain. I am a 9 handicap and i play often. My clubs were stolen, so I went cheap with my 3 wood and driver. I've been to club testing events and had the chance to compare against the latest clubs on the market. Cobra and the new Calloway Epic driver managed to clearly out perform this Ping, but compared to Taylormade, Nike, Adam's, Wilson, or Cleveland, the Ping managed to meet or beat the competition in both distance and accuracy. One complaint is the Ping alignment marker thing on the top of the club head. It just looks weird to me. Also, the shaft snapped like 6 months after I bought it. Ping fixed it for free, but the replacement shaft is obviously used and I'm not sure how long this one will last considering the signs of wear.

  • Item unfortunately inaccurately described.

Unfortunately the item was not accurately described. Two defects not mentioned in write up or visible in pics: 1- the top of the club showed more than several "skied" shot marks/ deep scratches on the crown and 2- either the shaft had been pulled and reinserted (very badly) into the head or the head with this shaft is not the original head and shaft pairing as there is an approx. 3/8" gap between the ferrel on the end of the shaft and where the shaft enters and is attached to the head; the ferrel should be flush to the head with NO gap. This causes the club to be an additional 3/8" longer but more importantly renders it unplayable...unless you want to hit it and break the shaft off....at this weaken point but the point of max torque. With the shaft not seated correctly or all the way into the slot in the head to receive the shaft the shaft/head connection is thus significantly weaken at the very point of maximum torque on the shaft namely at the point where the shaft enters the head. My opinion is that one strong hit and the shaft will probably snap off due to the bad seating of head/shaft sending the head down the fairway...probably further than the ball.

  • This technology still works

I recently played with a guy who had the G20 and was bombing it past my drives with my G30. It has to be the driver, right? Well, I found a NEW G20 on Ebay and sold my G30 for twice the price of the new G20. The G20 is a better driver for me. I don't know about longer, but I am putting it in play further down the fairway at a much higher rate, and getting more open looks to the green. I would say, get one if you can.

  • PGA Tour club

There's a reason this was a top club on the PGA tour for years. It's easy to hit, forgiving, and long. Forget the newfangled adjustability fads on the new drivers and craft a solid swing and bomb it with this club for a fraction of the cost of this years bright and shiny new overpriced eye candy clubs.

  • Simple yet elegant

No adjustments necessary. Like the simplicity and feel of this driver. I have the G20 3 and 5 woods, and this felt very natural in my hands. It is long and only leaves the fairway if I get carried away and swing like a maniac. Excellent club.
