Baby Boomers Delight
If you were 8-12 yrs old when the Monkees came out in 1966 you were enthralled with the music, fascinated with their antics, and glad they had a Saturday morning show. This movie was their "final hurrah" to the viddys...great music, odd plot, and a cast of characters to boot. "Head", the Monkee movie.
This is a decent movie for all, and actually a very good vision of the music and fashion of 1968-1969. That was a pivotal year in world society. This movie definetly shows the evolution of the Monkees from bunny-hopping slapstick schtick into deeply entranced psychedelic music and skits. The scenes in the Paris flea market and the amusement park are memorable. I paid eight bucks for this dvd and still it is a good value.
