The Forgotten Classic, Now Restored
This is the movie Martin Scorsese rave about, the one whose restoration from a badly deteriorated condition he oversaw until the result is this amazing quality restoration we have today -- and then this is the Blu-Ray of that film, no less.
Even if you're not a fan of the ballet, this film is done so well that it's primarily about the characters and a central issue in life, as to whether our work or life passions are more important. If you choose one, can you have the other, too? Or are dreams and a life mutually exclusive?
At any rate, this is a great movie, and sadly too long forgotten.
