Adult Thriller with a touch of Comic Book twist.

Fab book, just my cup of tea. As much as I like a spy thriller, I love the comic book aspect in Villanelle. Great plot, full bodied characters and witty dialog. Am very much looking forward to the next installment. Just wish there were more of this kind in this of genre.

    A little lack lustre

I read this after watching the tv show. I found the read a little boring especially when the tv show is anything but. I also didn’t think it was that amusing whereas the tv show is very funny in parts. I probably wouldn’t recommend this. I know a lot of people who have watched Killing Eve and have loved it but I think they would read it and feel a bit let down by the book. I don’t usually say this but on this occasion I do think the tv series is better than the book. I am trying not to make direct comparisons between the book and the tv series as I know they are quite different and things have to be changed for tv but it’s hard not to as the tv series ticks every box with drama, comedy, thriller, this book to me is just falling short of these things. I don’t think the fact that I read this after I watched the series had any baring on how I feel about the read as I’ve done this many times before and usually always think the book is better. If I’d have read this before watching the tv series I’d probably had not bothered to watch the series. Die hard Killing Eve fans might want it so they have it but to be honest you may as well stick with the tv series.

  • Killing eve

Same characters mainly from the tv, but a few variations in the plot.or should i say the tv varies from the books. Every bit as good as the tv series if not better. You get a bit more back ground. Cant wait for book 3 and series 2

  • Light, efficient.

A superficial read.... it would take the likes of Glen Duncan or Clare North to lift the content to the next level. Nothing to tickle the mind or the imagination really. Making a film of it was it's best use.
