I've recently bought a few tools made by Vitrex, for some general refurbishment work I'm involved with. Although I was unfamiliar with this brand beforehand, it seems popular with some of the DIY/Trade stores we all tend to go to for supplies, so it's entered my radar. My verdict is, very good. The Vitrex Grout Finisher is a simple to use, economic to buy joint finishing tool that adds a little finesse to your grouting work. After you've applied your grout and wiped away excess grout/bloom with a tile sponge, just go over your tile joints with this tool and you'll straighten/tighten up the joint appearance. It isn't necessary to use this type of tool everywhere, it really depends on how well the tiles were laid in the first place (straight alignment, even width joints etc.) and what colour grout is used alongside the tile colour (if the grout is a similar match, it tends to blend in, if not it can stand out, accentuating any imperfections in the tiling/grout joint widths etc.). So, when to use this tool is down to the individual, assessing each tiling job on its merits. All in all, a helpful item to have in your toolbox.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor quality control.
The tool I received had a big moulding mark around the centre of the ball part, which would have left a line in the grout, defeating the purpose of using a finishing tool!
