I have seen all the Lewis series (except for no 9) before and yet, as with Inspector Morse dramas, I am happy to watch them over and over again. The partnership of Lewis and Hathaway is a joy and one thing that particularly has pleased me is that a new partnership with a different dynamic has been created. There are touching allusions to Morse in the early episodes and I think that is a clever and rather nice acknowledgement of the importance of Colin Dexter's creation. Lovely to see him making those fleeting appearances too. I LOVE the skill and craftsmanship of ALL those involved.

Lewis as I remember
It has been great to engage with Lewis again. We watched the whole 9 series with much enthusiasm when they were aired on tv and the boxed set is no- less compelling. Great entertainment and great value for the 8 -series purchase.
