Good product
Bought this to replace mine which had snapped. Fitted without any modifications, just pushed it into the slot, bashed the spade down against a hard surface a couple of times until the bracket started to splay out very slightly under the pressure, then drilled and bolted it on. Handle does not quite go in as far as original as a bit thicker but I decided it was in far enough and I would rather have the extra thickness for strength rather than shaving some off as my old handle snapped just above the metal. Ok could be improved
These are ok i had to sand down the shaft to fit my fork but that is to be expected as all tools have different fitting diameters , i would have like the handle plastic part held on better so i drilled it and put a bolt through then just cut the bolt to length finished it a treat no fear of the plastic part pulling off when pulling the fork out of hard ground and your hand flying up and hitting you in the face .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A job for lockdown!
I have had a border fork with a broken handle for 8 years, but never had the time to mend it. With the lockdown, I gave myself the task of replacing it. It was too long for the border fork so I drilled out the handle fixings, removedthe handle , cut the shaft smaller. I then whittled the shaft down to the right diameter and drilled for a bolt. I then shaved the shaft and sanded it to fit the fork and bolted that. I would imagine the wood is a Chinese equivalent of ash. It is dense carves and sands well. There was a single woodworm hole but I’m sure that won’t affect its strength.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
