Additional InformationRecorded just months after the release of After the Goldrush, this somber live recording finds Young at a hushed high point in his career.
Reviews4 stars out of 5 -- "There's no shortage of standouts, including a handful of aching AFTER THE GOLD RUSH tracks...", "Live at the Cellar Door Stands Alone As an Unexpected Glimpse of Neil Young, Piano Man.", "LIVE AT THE CELLAR DOOR Live captures moments of exceptional intimacy with historical significance."
This gives a portrait of Neil Young at one of the most of many interesting junctures of his solo career with some well-known and some fledgling songs that later went on to be classics. Not just for the die-hard fan, this is Mr Young at his most accessible. Well packaged with liner notes I recommend this product to all Neil Young fans.
An amazing album. The quality of the recording is excellent. His voice is so beautifully fragile. I havent stopped playing it since I got it. Any Neil Young can will be blown away by this album.
Excellent reproduction. Great alternative versions of some classics, with lots of Neil on the piano. Plenty of chitchat thrown in too. Well worth a listen or ten....
