Uses niche storage technology and can be a very low latency OS/cache/Program Drive.
Intel Optane Memory is the only product brand that uses a storage technology called 3DXpoint. Rather then the NAND Flash used on every other SSD, SD card, USB Flash Drive, etc. It's top bandwidth is a little slower then other SSD's, but it's IOPS are unmatched. With IOPS comparable to DRAM having used for a boot drive for a Ubuntu 22.10 server, It makes operating system, cache, and programs extremely snappy, like if there where all running from a ram disk. Only Problem is that these drives hold little storage and are already becoming increasingly rare,

Good if you’re going to use it with a single hard drive, but for nothing else
Truth is I just bought it for the wrong purpose. I was hoping to use it in a raid array, and it just is not going to work for that. It’s the same thing as their Optane storage but Intel refuses to allow it to be used in a raid array as storage because it’s part of their memory line.
