SUPA !! These work great if use the correct amount.
These Supa Algae blocks are excellent at getting rid of Algae in your pond and maintaining it blanket weed Free so long as you use use the right amount to suit the size of your pond. Its good to add the first one late April, then another in early August, and that should do the year ok for ponds like mine , upto about 1000 litres. The blocks kill the blanket weed , this will help clog up your filter faster and need cleaning out until the mess has gone. The blocks are harmless to aquatic life & associated ecosytems and work by adding ureic nitrongen to the water which makes it difficult for the algae to survive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just didn't work.

Patience pays off
Tried various things to clear the water in the past even emptying and refilling with fresh water but always turned green and murky when sunny. I bought this product in May, initially it appeared to do nothing and my hopes sank, but you just need patience, my pond is now crystal clear and has been for the past month with no signs of algae. I've just ordered another to have in the shed in case the algae returns as not sure how long the block remains effective, but looking great at present. Used in a small pond that was suffering from green weed and cloudy water, the single circular block I put in sank to the bottom and worked wonders. Within an hour the weed had separated from the edges and I was easily able to scoop it out with a small net : the clarity of the water had also improved dramatically and I could see the block on the bottom.
