The St Michael cookery books are still amongst the best go to's, even after more than forty years. Bought several modern so called casserole & pot roast books which were absolute trash. This one was exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Lots of straight forward classic home cooking recipes that really are casseroles and pot roasts. You wont use them every day, but theyre great for winter & the freezer. Good hearty british meals.
