What can you say about a new seal for one's pressure cooker? You do need to replace it every now and then as the rubber ages and loses its elasticity and hardens so I hope that this seal will be as durable as the ones I've bought over the 30 years I've had my pressure cooker.. Easy to use? Well, just take the old one out - which you probably do every time you use the cooker - and put the new one in. Good value? Yes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slighlty smaller diameter than the original
When I fitted this gasket seal to my 50 year old Prestige High Dome pressure cooker, it was of a slightly smaller diameter than the one I removed (the third replacement) and I was suspicious that it was a 'clone'. Poor fit
This is the second gasket I have had to order.the first fitted ok from the package. On its first use it shrunk so that it drops out of the lid when trying to put the lid on.this product did exactly the same. There needs to be better quality control from Prestige and/or a change in formulation. I do not plan on replacing this time I will put up with the inconvenience. Don't Get steamed up Over Nothing
It's a Big Rubber washer that Makes a Steam tight Seal. after Using the Pressure Cooker always remember to Use Cold water on the Rubber when washing it and don't Distort the Rubber Make sure that you Put Enough water into the Pressure Cooker but never too Much; Always Keep an eye on the time/ Making sure that you do not Boil Dry the Cooker as this can Both Cause the Pan to distort and also to Melt the Rubber sealVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
