Rejuvenated staircase
The base coat Mahogany colour is a nice rich warm colour and although the instructions say 1-2 coats I would definitely recommend 2 coats for full coverage. The base coat dries quickly so you don’t have to wait long to complete the base coat. For the grain coat I found practice on an old piece of wood very difficult and the results poor so I just dived in and started on the staircase. It’s best to be bold and quite quick (but Smith) and then wait to see the full result. Overall the effect is quite pleasing if not a true replication of wood grain.
