Zone VI 8x10
This is very nice example of 8x10 camera. It is quite sturdy for wood camera, has about 760 cm bellows, so it will easily take 600 lens. The weight is about 6.3 kg. What I really like about this camera is that all the movements are easily set, they are in the right place and lock well. The 8x10 screen is also bright and easy to focus with. The camera is made from solid mahogany and brass.

Zone VI 4x5 with three Fuji lenses
The Zone VI is not as finely machined and finished unit as the Winner 4x5 traditional, but it is a good value for the money. To add wax to the dry wood/varnish finish and lubricate the gearing I used Gun Stock Wax. The camera is heavy for its class for it has a double racking structure. For light weight, the Wista 4x5, etc. is better but is limited to only single racking. The metal Canham 4x5 is a very precise, beautifully engineered unit but it is not wood. In the age of iPhone cameras, it is nice to go back to wood. The key to any large format photography is the lens. Fuji lenses never commercially marketed in the USA are an excellent value for the money. I ended up with six Fuji lenses for this camera (65mm through 300mm). Total racking on this camera is too short for a 450mm.
