An unusual fantasy drama series from South Korea, 49 DAYS stars actress Nam Gyu-Ri as Ji-hyun, a young bride-to-be who suffers from a serious accident days prior to her wedding. Falling into a coma, she encounters The Grim Reaper (Jung Il-Woo) - or "The Scheduler," as he prefers to be called -- who hands her a strange offer. She has a chance to return to life on Earth the body of Yi-kyung (Lee Yo-Won), but can only do so for 49 days. During that tight time frame, she must collect genuine teardrops from people who love her. At first, she assumes that this will be an easy task, guided by the belief that everyone was smitten with her, but as the days roll forward, her naiveté fades and she begins to learn that the individuals in her life were actually concealing their true natures from her. Further complicating matters is the fact that two individuals - friend Gang (Jo Hyun-Jae) and unfaithful fiancé Min-ho (Bae Soo-Bin) - soon fall for her.
