It is what it is,although heavy duty might need to be rephrased to heavy domestic/home shop garage

I bought this with the intentions of using for metal polishing with mops and compounds . After about 6times running on and of for about 3 hours every time it started to slow down when pressure was allied. This was caused by the mains flex getting too hot, iirc the flex was only .5 mm which is OK for domestic 13 amp sockets but not for something running at 373 watts for hours at a time. I swapped out the flex for a 1mm flex used it for about two hours for polishing and even the motor housing was cooler at the end of working. Perhaps this machine is not/was not intended for continual use like I have used it,so the .5mm cable could have been sufficient for that type of work advertised and if I had used it as a bench grinder I think it would have worked just fine. Its a good heavy solid piece and would probably last a very long time, and now that I had changed the power cable I am able to use it for both grinding and polishing without it giving up on me . Overall I am now pleased with the machine .

    Good value

A bit fiddly to assemble the guards that come packed separately and the instructions are ambiguous - I was also missing one nut. It's a good unit though and works well and includes decent stones.

  • Cheap At Half The Price

This grinder reminds me when an American car company got a brand new Mini off the production line and stripped it down to its component parts and coated them all out. They couldn't figure out how on earth British Leyland were making any money on the Mini. Truth is, they were actually losing money for each one sold. I'm not saying this grinder maker is losing money but they must only be making pennies per grinder

  • Great grinder

Now I've had it a while it works really well. The extra power 375w is well worth buying. Doesn't stop when grinding. Grit size wheels adequate for most sharpening tasks. Only fault is guards are fragile. Would recommend for DIY enthusiast.

  • Good solid grinder

Great product with more power than the competition for the price its a no brainer for moderate to hard D.I.Y. use. Make sure your bench/Fix is solid or it will vibrate when running. very pleased.

  • Toolzone bench grinder

Seems to work as well as expected. I've already sharpened many tools. I needed to assemble the tool rests and the protection parts, as well as bolt it to the bench. The instructiuons for assembly were misleading, as they had changed the parts to fit together in a different way, but it wasn't too much of a puzzle. The parts in the photo are what I got. The tool rests are very basic, so I needed to improvise some for some items to sharpen, or work freehand.

  • Perfect for my Polishing needs

I wanted a second bench grinder specifically for polishing. Product is ideal, quite powerful and with 12.7 mm spindles which is perfect for the size of the pigtails I already held.
