I should probably go back and look at the original posting for this. I thought it said 'new battery". 6 hours seems to be the limit on this one, just for listening to music.Seems a bit short. Maybe it's. My phone battery is close to toast after one year. Easy enough to charge it. The Ipod is in new condition. I ordered it for my granddaughter and she loves it. It is difficult to use because it doesn't appear that I can update the I pod but so much. It's hard to download apps. Good to a certain extent.
This generation is very outdated, it is now only used for basic web browsing, iMessage, E-mail and of course music! This is everything your everyday smartphone can do. It has a very great nostagic aspect to it. Most popular apps are no longer supported, which is a bummer. As for sound quality, it is ok, if you want a super bass feel, you won't find it in this one. I have only one use for this device. I use it as an mp3 player for my car. Its easy to load up with music and woks fine with my radio that has an ipod cord. You never really know when the battery is a certain point, like If you have 15% Battery it will say you have 10% Batter "Connect A Charger",and all the features run well.. But It's not use to me so I gave it to my cousin who enjoys it. A Fantastic Device at a Good Price
When I received the iPod it was dead, only responded when plugged in, but needed to be re-booted, but again... would not. After researching the issue, I determined that it was indeed a battery issue and a digitizer (touch part of the touch screen) issue. So, I purchased the parts that I needed and replaced the battery by taking out the bad one and soldering in a new one, I also replaced the digitizer, and now it works extremely well... I literally use this iPod everyday! I could not rave enough about the iPod Touch 4th Generation. It's probably my most well used device second only behind my iPhone. It is able to install back compatible or older versions of many apps on the app store, and has a nice camera. The external speakers are good, the screen is now extremely responsive, and I found that the processor is extremely resilient. Bad decision!!!
This item does not hold a charge at ALL! Worst purchase I have ever made. It did not say in description or remarks anywhere, that the battery would not hold a charge.
