Good audio quality
Nice unit, the remote is not as nice as my GTP-500II remote is, but since the 500II's power supply went belly up and I needed a pre-amp that worked to get back to functionality, I'm very happy with the GTP-500. Solid performer

Old School Works For Me!!
Although this preamp/tuner was made back in the late 80's or early 90's, it does everything I need in a tuner preamp. I've been a fan of Adcom for 10 or 15 years, ever since I bought one of their big 200 w/channel power amps for $50 at a yard sale. Wish I hadn't sold it, but I have 2 of the 545-II's now so that's keepin' it in the family so to speak. Very clean sounding music through my 4 Klipsch Heresy speakers out in my workshop. The fact that it has a phono inputis a plus now that turntables are now back in vogue. I was totally satisfied with my previous Adcom preamp/ tuner, but when I saw that the 500 had two pre-amp outputs, that's what sold me on the unit. I don't have the remote control for it, but don't need it. The only qualm I have about the unit is that every time I turn it off, the output selector defaults to the top of the menu selector and I have to push the selector button to get it where i want it.
