It comprises of five pieces that pack into a cloth-covered Cordura tube and includes a 1.25lb test curve top section. The quiver top comes with three push-in quivers: 1.5oz (red), 2oz (green), and 2.5oz (yellow). Great travel rod
First few times I used it, had carp to over 8lb, 2lb chub and 6lb pike - handled all beautifully. Used with lines from 4-8lb bs, from trotting to legering. Great action, very light, sections all snug fit, balances well with small centrepin or fixed spool. Very good rod for the money. Uplocking reel seat seems a bit flimsy, but that might just be my aversion to plastic! No damage to this area as yet and it tightens securely.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Primarily a quivertip rod.
Excellent as a ledger/feeder rod. Not too great as a short float rod with medium weight floats because the rings are too low profile and the line tends to adhere too the blank; exacerbated considerably in wet conditions. Great travel rod
Wanted to take some fishing gear on a holiday to France. Looked at some really cheap rods, but decided to buy a decent one. I would have been disappointed if there had been a good fishing opportunity and a cheap rod broke. The rod comes with feeder tips and a float tip so can be used for either, it comes in a nice case to protect it. It is small and compact so doesn't take up much room. superb rods
These rods are absolutely superb - I have used three of the barbel version of this rod for some time with excellent results - the bite detection subtlety, striking power and cushioning and fighting strength are second to none in any price bracket: casting, hooking and playing double figure barbel and other species including tench, carp, chub, pike, big eels is an absolute pleasure - I rate these rods as the modern equals to my old beloved split cane Richard Walker Mk IVs. These lighter versions are every bit as good as the specimen rod, I cannot recommend them highly enough, the price is fantastic for two rods of this quality. Ideal for short sessions.
It is also good for long sessions, but the travel rod can be cept in the car without getting in the way, so if a fancy a couple of hours chubbing on the Stour, I am always ready to go. The action is great for a wide range of fishing methods, the rod has quailty fittings and is very well finished.
