A simple and effective tool for many uses.
I bought this ice pic to modify into exactly what I wanted. And I did just that. I trust old hickory brand everytime, I always,have and my family always has. Cheap and tough as nails, you can't beat them...and I've literally tried! The 5" carbon steel pick is more than big enough to get the job done. I've uses it for ice, starting screws and nails and as a leather awl. It performed everytime like it would be expected too. With a little care, this knife will outlive me and go non for generations. I can dream anyway. If you read this drawn out Description, just buy it. It will be perfect for you. If not, a sander, even just sandpaper can shape the handle any way you like. Mine got a kydex sheath and I blued the blade for protefection, and look. I shaped the handle to my hamd and gave it a makeshift gaurd for stabbing and poking. I also torched the handle and oiled it 3 times. It has proven a useful tool and I could even see carrying it everyday. Buy it!

Not like the old model
The older model I replaced had a real hickory handle and the “Old Hickory” emblem burned into it. The new model has an alternative wooden handle and the “Old Hickory” emblem printed on it.
