Well made and long lasting series of "dedicated" flashguns for FILM cameras, about half the output of the professional quality Metz 45 series (but MUCH cheaper), useful as a backup or for less demanding work (no quick change or rechargeable battery packs, no Quantum pack). Having had mostly amateur use, most of these flashguns are still in good working condition as secondhand buys, provided that ALL the battery contacts and module pins are properly cleaned. Designed for "off the film" TTL systems, they will not work properly with the (INFERIOR) metering systems of Digital cameras (which were a big step backwards).

Not really a review, just wanted to say that this gun shouldn't be used on a DSLR, it may or may not cause damage to camera's electronics & it isn't worth the risk to find out. I only bought it for the off camera bracket, it might be possible to use flash as a slave, i don't know & probably won't bother to find out. Bracket is a good quality item. The star ratings are mostly nonsense as i haven't used the flash, all ratings plus the recommendation only apply to the bracket which uses no batteries so ignore that rating entirely.
cheap and old but works and provides good light- only thing is is that it is heavy and sluggish and likes thinking time in between shots, but as with all technology, and exaggerated with old technology it seems, you get to learn the items individual quirks and character habits and i'm still very happy with the newest edition to my flash team :)
These are very good flash guns. Albeit a bit long in the tooth, it has proven to do a good job.
