The Linksys (WES610N-NP) 4-Port Dual-Band N Entertainment Bridge was just what I needed to make my Sony Bravia 46" flat screen TV as good as a Smart TV. I previously had hooked up a NETGEAR WNCE2001 bridge (purchased May 10, 2012) with great difficulty to my Sony Bravia TV, only to have the bridge fail after a couple of months use. I tried on numerous different occasions to reconnect to the internet even upgrading my router from a NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual Band router, to a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router. Nada! Miraculously, my Roku box was able to connect to the Internet and has worked well on the Bravia TV. My last attempt (was contacting NETGEAR Support (February 2016) to help me troubleshoot my connection problem. After a couple of hours on the phone with them, I was told that their bridge was kaput. This is when I did some research on the Internet to find that I was not the only person to have experienced this hookup issue between this particular NETGEAR bridge and Sony Bravia televisions. The Cisco-Linksys WET610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Entertainment Bridge, was greatly recommended for immediate and smooth hookup to Sony Bravia TVs. After checking out several websites, I found the newer Linksys WES610N 4-Port Dual-Band N Entertainment Bridge on eBay for a reasonable price. I purchased and received it in a matter of days. I was very pleased with how easy, fast and seemlessly this bridge connected my Bravia to the Internet making the Apps built into the television FINALLY available to use. Not only do I now have a fully functional television, but I have three addition ports to hookup my daughter's gaming devices (Wii, Sony Play Station, XBox). Excellent product!

  • It was a bargain price and works fine on 2Ghz band after manual setup.

This Linksys WES610N would not detect the 5Ghz band from my new Livewire modem, although it detected other 5Ghz bands nearby. The easy push-button setup would not work with the Livewire modem either. I believe these problems were the result of the out-of-date design of the WES610N, and there is nothing wrong with the unit I received. It works fine at 2Ghz, although not as fast as a dual-band connection would be.

  • Cheap way to hook up old LAN devices to WAN.

Great way to create a wired lan hub when all you have is wireless. I can hook my old Xbox 360 which requires LAN and an old LAN TV.
