Lack of address searches is a big failure.
Excellent machine for what I wanted. Lots of options and flexible. I live in UK. For some reason that Garmin has so far not yet explained completely, I cannot search for addresses unless they are in Germany, Poland or The Netherlands. Garmin say that I should be able to search in four countries, the fourth being Belgium, but the can't tell me why I cannot even get Belgium. Wonderful, but as I live in UK and don't travel to EU, not of any use to me. I have the latest software and this year's map ToDo Europe 2019.10. There is a similar problem searching for cities. So as it seems to have been deliberate limitation by Garmin, but not one that is highlighted on their web site (as far as I have been able ascertain), and whilst it mainly satisfies my requirements,...………………………….. Over-engineered and Awkward
This is a good-looking, hand-sized little device but is way too complicated and fussy for quick, easy use. The joystick control and the zoom, back and menu buttons make operation pretty complicated and that's before you work out the best way to use Tracks and Routes and as for Man Overboard ?? It's clearly trying to appeal across a wide range of outdoor pursuits and ends up being fussy, complicated and annoying. Simple and easy to operate it is not.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Use
Before buying one of these used, check it has more than the basic maps installed, pretty useless without, it's the maps that cost the money. Apart from this you are best to create your routes on the PC and transfer them. Lots of useful tutorials on YouTube, it's operation takes some remembering.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
