Every XJ Should Have One
I just bought my first XJ (2015) and felt I needed the 'prestige' of an ornament. The car now gets 'looks' from people on the street and in parking lots - adding to my ego problems! I took it to an upper-end body shop and they charged me 1 & 1/2 hours ($135.00) to install. They did it without the benefit of the template and only had to drill through the outer skin. It looks great and was machined/finished properly, so I was convinced it is a 'real' Jag part. Just not sure about the lower priced ones...

Just what my new XE Prestige needed
After being quoted $300 for this kit at the local Jag dealer, I was please to find this for less than 1/3 of that. The kit is not designed to fit on the XE, but the local trusted body shop was able to resolve that for about $100! I know that many think the leaper does not go well with this era of Jaguar, but I like it. Now no one mistakes this for anything but a Jaguar! Two holes are required on the hood support. First one is to attache the leaper nut and the second is to insert the rectangular plastic backing to prevent the aluminum hood from being damaged. The other two pieces in the kit are not used.

Leaper new installation
Sold as factory OEM but instructions are in Chinese so can't really tell if a "factory" oem part or just a good copy. It is however, high quality. If you are adding this leaper to you jag, you may need the templates to drill the holes and a plastic base (not included) for proper mounting. The selling was kind enough to ship me both and let me keep the plastic base. (I returned the templates). For a replacement you should have no issues....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
