A lot of fun for the money
This a basic air rifle and a good way to get started. The open sights are plastic but are well done. The muzzle brake is not slotted, and it looks like a plastic sleeve that goes over the barrel. The trigger is adjustable for travel but not for weight via a screw. I had to eliminate most of the travel in order to shoot the gun properly. The scope is also very basic, but it works. I sighted the gun quickly at 30 yards shooting 1/2-inch groups with no problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

On the edge.
In my mind these guns are underrated on their power because I also own a hatsun model 125 and umarex octane in 177 caliber. Also a crosman shockwave 22 caliber a Benjamin prowler 22 caliber and the hatsun edge that I just bought seems to have more power than the Benjamin or the shockwave either and they're rated at the same fps it is almost got as much power as my model 125. Impressive Use Of Spring And Air
The accuracy of this rifle far exceeds anything I ever expected as does the impact power. Shooting seated off bipod sticks I can pick 1/4 inch limbs off lodge pole pine at close to 80 yds and get complete pass through shots on gophers, ( ground squirrels), at 65 yds. The scope helps makes this possible, of course, (3x9 Optima). With older guns I used to expect a third of my shots at gophers would be misses but now misses are rare and few gophers make it down a hole. Hatsan Spring 22 Air Rifle
I haven't mounted a scope yet; the sites on the rifle are pretty accurate for close range shooting. This rifle is loud compared to my Crosman Vantage Gas Piston. However, it's beginning to loosen up some the more I shoot it and isn't quite as loud. If I had to do it over again, I probably would get it with a gas piston rather than spring powered. Impressive
I own many air rifles in multi-pump, CO2, side lever, under lever and break barrels. Some are more accurate than this on but none of mine are more powerful. The accuracy of this Hatsan is very acceptable. Most groups are very tight with only the occasional fliers. The scope isn't great but the fiber optic "iron" sights are. Its Built Like a Real Rifle
Its a little bit on the heavy side, the scope it comes with, is hard to adjust, i'll replace it with a cvlife 6-24 50aoe! The existing rifle sites are more than adequate for sniping! Excellent Rifle for the Price
