Works well but only after DIY modifications
These tongs were the right length for typical use and good quality material but the spring was 50% stronger than it needed to be and the angle they are set open to is much too wide. My solution to this problem was to cross the pick up scoops over and force the spring to bend so that the strength of the spring was reduced and this set the jaws closer together making it more like the type of tongs I've been used to and needed to replace. It now works very well but it required some engineering knowledge to make these adjustments so for this reason I rated them less than top stars and wouldn't recommend to anyone with problem arthritic joints of finger weakness of any kind. Now they are working the way I want them to be, they are in effect good value. I was just a bit disappointed that I had to modify the item to make it more user friendly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
