  • Some good details but not enough information on public transports

This is about the 5th edition, first published in 2000: pros: I like the detailed information of museums and sites including the fees. I like the section of 'Understand Cyprus' including languages and Greek Alphabet and Glossary cos: I would have liked to see more excursions and walks which can be done by using public transports. There are good network of buses available in Cyprus. The book has only a few info about the buses and recommends hiring a car, which is not my type of travelling with lonely planet. There are too many fragmented maps of Nicosia for different focus. It's difficult to connect where it begins and end among them. I have to keep flipping pages to find where they are. It's better to have the whole area in a page spread and have all info in one place. There could have been improvement since this edition.

Comprehensive information, user-friendly layout, easy to navigate and the first travel guide I buy when I'm going anywhere new. A welcome addition to my Lonely Planet collection.
