Good but slow
Could have been excellent but they have installed a slow cpu which disconnects the remote to allow it to do its work, sometimes up to 2 minutes. This happens when it is starting up, when programs stop and start. Very frustrating at the time. I don't have the patience to enjoy it. The design concept is very good in principle. A few minor problems like playing a video in slow motion takes 9 key presses and to its slowest speed 27 presses. Could be 3 presses on the remote if they allocated the remote keys differantly without physically changing the remote or lost of function.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Easy to use, quality recordings, large capacity.
I bought this Sony HDD recorder to replace an identical unit which had served me well for 11 years. The recording quality is excellent an the ability to record two Freeview channels at once is very handy. The unit is a bit slow to start up sometimes but that was also the case for the original machine. Good value S/H Twin Tuner Freeview recorder.
