It's a keeper!
I think one sign of a good song is if it can be re-interpreted in one or more alternative styles and still be enjoyed. What Paul Anka has chosen to translate and present here is, largely, on point and worthy of applause. An easy lounge/swing genre is not for everybody, but then neither are the genres of the original versions of these songs, nor, perhaps, the original artists. So, 'swings and roundabouts', some might say. Keep an open mind and give it a chance. If you have any level of soul within you then you'll find yourself smiling and singing along to at least half of these tracks. Personally, I love cover versions of songs for the way they can often overturn any initial dislike I might have held towards an original version. In some cases, they encourage me to seek out original versions I may not have been aware of. If you share or seek similar experiences, this album is a very inoffensive and enjoyable way of attaining that. Get it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
