The classic second (and last) album by the original New York Dolls
The New York Dolls: underrated but very influential Rock'n'Roll band, progenitors of Punk Rock, and the best example of US Glam Rock. They had 3 singer/songwriters: David Johansen (later famous as Buster Poindexter), Johnny Thunders and Sylvain Sylvain plus Arthur Kane on bass and Jerry Nolan on drums. In the US they inspired Areosmith, Kiss, Motley Crue, etc. In the UK they were followed by all those who started Punk Rock: Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Billy Idol's Generation X, John Foxx's Ultravox, etc...This is their second and last album before they reformed in 2003 (without guitarist Johnny Thunders, who died in 1991, and drummer Jerry Nolan, who died in 1992, who played together throughout the 1980s, originally as The Heartbreakers, one of the main Punk Rock band who in 1977, the year Punk "arrived", were based in London. Arthur Kane died soon after The Dolls' triumphal reunion in London in 2004 thanks to fan Morrissey, and he is celebrated in the ward-winning film New York Doll) released three albums and disbanded again in 2011. This album has 4 covers and it was produced by the legendary George "Shadow" Morton. Classic Rock'n'Roll album
