Lightweight with terrific zoom and lots of features
I wanted a camera that had a viewfinder because those without one, as I have found to my disappointment, do not allow me to see the subject in bright sunlight when all you have is a monitor screen. I bought the Nikon Coolpix P510 on recommendation of two people. I am not disappointed. It does everything that I need and I think that even a professional would be happy with it. I have not had it long enough to make use of all of its features but being able to switch from viewfinder to monitor easily is a bonus. It is lightweight enough for me to carry around. Others I have had have been too heavy to lug around. This one has a terrific zoom and has even been used to read distant road signs before we got to them. If I have to make one criticism it would be that the auto focus takes a few seconds to adjust back after zooming in on a subject.
