Good buy but ...
I would recommend this item but with one major proviso. It does not keep out young squirrels!. The adults, definitely, but the young ones, until they've put on some weight, can get through! Safety for small birds in the garden. Awkward to put up
I've bought this for a. Friend who loves it and is enjoying whatching the birds feed in her garden although she had to get friends to help her put it up I'm glad she is pleased with it but I've found it a lot more exspenseive than i thought clipping it together has been quite difficult I've got one which is older but came already clipped together with metal clippes and was easy to install as opened up rather than having to clip together. Good for the birds
It works well. The large mesh may not be squirrel proof but we dont have a squirrel problem. The mesh is well made and coated, so should stay rust free. It was very easy to assemble. The pegs hold it down well. It keeps the pigeons out. The pheasants can get their heads in, but not enough to eat all the food. We dont mind the pheasants. Bye to the pesky pigeons!
This cage was to keep the fat, pesky pigeons from eating all the bird food - they seem to eat anything! My blackbird has been a bit slow at entering the cage,feeding only briefly.
