It is easy to put together, just needs to be weathered so it doesn't look to shiny and thats it, you can add working lights to it if you wish, just by drilling the moulded holes out very carefully.

A very basic plain plastic appearance that does not appear to be UK railway barrier hardware. Also there are only two barrier near-side units - so no additional off-side warning lights post. If you use the supplied fencing then it doesn't have a fixing lug to lock the barrier unit onto a standard Peco level crossing approach. Without the fencing - the barrier unit fixing lug is apparently a standard Peco approach one. It is far inferior to the equivalent from Hornby - which does look like an expected miniature. My Hornby ones also have nice guide holes for a 1.5mm drill to bore neatly through the warning lights to allow rear LED illumination. Using 1.5mm axial LEDs - possibly with a short length of 1.5mm fibre-optic in the bore to project further towards the end of the long light hood. Unfortunately it does not appear possible to use Hornby barriers on a Peco dual road approach without modifications to fixing lugs and shortening the barrier span.Read full review
