Bolton Brilliance
This is the first in the "DC Lacey Flint" series and it's just as brilliant as Sharon's stand alone books. One night Lacey is approached by a woman suffering multiple stab wounds. This woman was to be the first of many, who all died of horrific injuries, having various body parts removed and left in various places to wind the police up. It is soon discovered that the murders are all copies of the Jack the Ripper victims. Lacey has a fixation with Jack the Ripper and is able to provide all her knowledge of his victims and their horrendous deaths to the investigating team. However none of the woman are middle aged prostitutes, so what do they have in common? The deaths are described in great detail and are rather gory, but the twists and turns in this book are fantastic. As with all Sharon's books there is a real humdinger of an ending! I loved all the characters in this book and in particular my heart went out to Lacey. Also I fell a little in love with her sidekick DI Josebury too!
