Weighing a mere 116g and small in size, the “pancake” Fujifilm XF 18mm lens is easy to bring on all of your photography adventures. The lens boasts a fixed/prime focal length of 18mm and a wide angle lens (equivalent to 27mm in 35mm format), allowing the photographer to stand close to the subject and delivering razor sharp images and high-resolution right to the image edge. An excellent lens for street photography, landscapes, and interiors, the Fujifilm XF 18mm lens provides minimal barrel distortion and allows you to focus with ease at lightning speed, improving the quality of your images. This compact, wide angle lens contains seven aperture blades and delivers outstanding performance in low-light environments allowing you to capture every important moment. The lens accepts a 52mm filter and is designed for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera. The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens is also compatible with other Fujifilm cameras, including the X-E1. The rapid and bright f/2.0 aperture of the lens delivers beautiful photography from bokeh to wide depth of field shots. The lens has an aperture range of f/16 to f/2.0, allowing for a large range of exposure for every lighting scenario. The lens has a maximum magnification of 0.14mm, and the aperture ring has 1/3 stop click stops for 19 stops, providing more precise light exposure control. Aspheric and ED elements combat chromatic aberration, and ghosting is significantly reduced with the construction of seven groups fitted with eight elements. The lens was constructed using glass-mold aspheric lenses at the 5th and 7th elements, and a super EVC coating around the metal frame. The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens effectively increases the maximum aperture (5th element) and reduces the overall thickness of the lens (7th element). The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens has a mirrorless design, and the final element of the lens is as close as possible to the sensor, minimizing the back focus distance appreciably and reducing color shading and vignetting. Tiny gem.
Great, compact lens. I particularly like to use it with available light indoors. The wide aperture even makes for great bokeh, when focusing up close. I also like the focal length for urban environments: not too wide, nor too tight: seems a better option than 35mm for street photography, but not as great for portraits. I definitely recommend installing the latest firmware, it made a bit difference on focus speed and noise. Now it focuses fast and easily. I do wish it could focus a little closer for semi-macro shots -- but if it could do that, it wouldn't have been as compact. Fujifilm XF 18mm f2 R prime lens is an outstanding lens at a great price.
Well built Made In Japan product. Very compact design, almost "pancake" lens size producing sharp images. With latest firmware it's very fast focusing on my Fujifilm X-T4 body. Great lens, great photos ..Really affordable when bought from overseas, lens is great but to over priced in the USA ...Fujinon produced an awesome lens with an awesome vintage looking lens hood ...a unique lens hood that every photographer craves to own...I ordered this lens from overseas mint with box and warranty at half price what USA sells them for used and it arrived to my home in 9 Days... Awesome small, light lens
I purchased this lens for my Fujifilm XE-1. I prefer this camera model over the XPro-1 or XT-1 (both great cameras!) for its size and weight and this lens is a great way to keep the camera portable and easy to carry while providing an optimal focal length for landscape and scene photography. Picture quality is superb. This lens is a bit deeper/wider than Fujifilm's excellent 27mm "pancake" lens (37mm vs 23mm) - a better choice if you desire "normal lens" focal length.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very good lens, needs updating
I use this lens on xt1 and xt2. It is of the first generation of fuji lenses for mirrorless cameras. As such it does not focus as quickly as newer f 2 primes, and is not water resistant. Useful lens, sent quickly and in good condition
This is am old 18 mm Fuji lens. It isn't weather sealed, and its autofocus is slow, and the autofocus mechanism is noisy. It may be the least loved Fuji X lens. There is an expensive f 1.4 available, and a new version of the lens is scheduled for release in 2022. That said, the lens autofocus works adequately on my X-Pro 3. The images are sharp and whatever limits the lens has, hasn't affected its usefulness or stopped it from being a fun lens to use. I have never had an 18 mm prime lens before. This is a great compact lens for street photography and for its under 300 price, it is worth it. Great lens, underestimated!
This lens has been receiving negative reviews which seems to be unjustified. This is a great compact lens for EDC. Not the sharpest compared to lenses costing 3 times as much but sharp none-the less. Great wide angle for any application.

Compact and relatively fast.
