FIFA Soccer 12 brings to the pitch the game-changing new Player Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Experience the way real-world players challenge each other for the ball, win possession, and test each other physically. Enjoy an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every collision. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily. Revolutionary gameplay innovations make FIFA 12 deeper and more engaging. All-new Precision Dribbling creates a higher fidelity of touch on the ball for better control in tight spaces, more time to make decisions on attack, and more control over the pace of the game. Defending has been re-designed to make it as skilful and meaningful as the real-world game with all-new Tactical Defending, where positioning and intercepting passes are as important as tackling. Tactics and timing are crucial. CPU players have been infused with Pro Player Intelligence, a self-awareness that enables them to behave and make decisions based on their own skills and tendencies, and gives them the aptitude to understand the strengths and weaknesses of teammates in every situation. Transformed to look and feel fresh and new from pre-match to final whistle, FIFA Soccer 12 delivers an authentic Match Day experience, faster and easier navigation, and over 500 officially licensed clubs.
After having read many comments (positive and negative) about Fifa 12, i was very unsure whether to purchase the game.
Admittedly, i am a huge Fifa fan and so the latest edition had been put on the top of my shopping list. I saw the game up for auction and without thinking i put a bid in and won. I got the game a few days after its release date.
I began my adventure as a premiership trainee taking my first tentative step into the world of football. I played a few matches and felt it was Fifa 11 in different packaging.
But as i played more matches it became obvious to me there were distinct differences to the previous editions of Fifa.
The skill games are a novel idea which are far better than the Fifa 11 goal scoring pre-match training.
When i realised the game incorporated the national team, I knew the negative comments were wrong. The game has made good progression. I would love to say there were no disappointing sides to the game, unfortunately there is. As a player you either play the game or left out of the team. at no point is the player a substitute. Maybe Fifa are going to incorporate this in next years version. On a final note there has been a few glitches ie:- invisible ball and game crashing etc. But there has been a few downloads which has sorted these out.
It has to be said, in conclusion, buy it for the sheer fun and enjoyment because not many games can last the year. The last one was Fifa 11 and 12 will do the same. Roll on Fifa 13.Read full review
As always, you kind of know what you are getting with Fifa and that is the same as the last one with a couple of new features and better graphics. I would not update it every year out of choice but it seems really important that the kids have the most up to date version. If you are buying it for the first time then it is a great format and great fun. If you are updating from Fifa 12 I would still recommend but look to get it at the right price.
great product for all fifa fans who enjoy challenging their mates.
great game, i was a pro evo gamer but decided to switch and now get used to a lot of amazing new things in fifa 12. im glad i tried this version of fifa as it is quite more developed then its predecessors. I will definitely purchase 14 end of this year or 13 depending on the changes made. this game obviously has a lot to offer to any skill level gamer because it challenges you on many levels.
Great graphics, awesome gameplay, improved controls, cannot fault this game
Why did I buy Fifa 12? I have bought Fifa since The Road to World Cup version in 1998 and have had no reason to change over to PES yet. Every game gets better and better in terms of graphics, gameplay and player profiles. Also the game modes are great, particularly season and manager modes. I also purchased the Euro 2012 add on and that has not disappointed either, particularly the expedition mode where you play the qualifiying rounds in a sort of "game of risk" like scenario. The only negative I would say is the price tag as initially, like all games, it's too expensive. So the best thing to do is to purchase it when the next version is due for release. I would highly recommend this game, and the add on, to anyone.
