I bought this phone as a replacement for an HTC Explorer that I broke after some research. I would describe myself as a light user, the main features for me being mp3 playback, emails, navigation and some light surfing. The pros are:- 1. Very fast boot up. 2. Excellent screen both in size and picture quality 3. Good speakers in comparison to other phones that I have had. 4. Decent internal memory for all your apps (expandable witgh a micro SD card) the cons are:- 1. It can be a little buggy especially when running low on juice although this may be down to my battery app rather than the phone. 2. The phone had Android 4 installed rather than the original 2.2. The result of this was that the FM feature was lost. Luckily, I found the FM Radio apk online (after some digging) and this seems to be working well. Beware to back up the radio app if upgrading to Android 4. 3. The battery life while not bad is not as good as my old HTC. This may be down to the larger screen. I find I have to recharge the phone every second day. 4. The touchscreen isn't as sensitive as I am used to. Overall, however, I don't think I could have gotten a better phone for the money. I am not overly concerned about the allegations of that Huawei and the Chinese Government are spying on me especially as it seems that GCHQ and the NSA are doing the same.Read full review
Bought to replace a broken phone still on contract. Used mainly for email, reading paper, bit of web browsing. Good value phone. Not the fastest phone I have used, not much use if you are looking for high spec, but makes clear calls, has Android ICS and runs all the programs I need. Battery meter has been a bit all over the place but the effective battery life is good, lasting easily 2 days of regular use. Has crashed a couple of times, meaning I have had to remove the battery. Mostly though has worked OK.
This is probably the best Android phone I have ever had! it beats the Galaxy 2 by miles, rapid response to all apps and links everything together nicely!Being sim free is an added bonus runs superbly on 3G, calls to Skype are amazing along with facebook and 3 email accounts I have running currently, this Phone copes readily!my last phone had the same quality camera, which was not a patch on this! the pictures are lovely and clear and upload with ease to share anywhere you wish!lots of free apps as well as books as well as a free security programme. the Battery lasts a full day, but charges fast! Bear in mind I had to contact the supplier to help me set up my 3G this was done so promptly and courteously that I cannot fault either the phone or supplier! I would say this phone is as good as any at twice the price on the market today!Read full review
The g300 was delivered in good time and was perfect as an intro into the world of android phones,if you want more battery life then look for the increased capacity battery which take the capacity from 1500mah all the way up to 2250mah ( About a tenner from the US.)Great phone and plenty of accessories available ( 32gb class 10 sd card well worth installing to extend memory for music, video and apps ),9.7 out of ten.
I am very pleased with this phone. Good build quality, great large screen, great battery life. Could do with being a bit quicker. Phone is easy to use. Really good phone for the price.
