Olympus SZ14 Digital Camera
A very nice camera, easy to use, very good value for the price, performs as well as some much more expensive cameras, ready to use as soon as you press the "on" button, the 24x zoom is most useful and I found the picture quality excellent, in Macro mode also, what I most like though is the fact that you can see the subject matter on the screen even in bright sunlight, all in all, this is a camera that I would recommend to the ordinary photographer who wants good pictures at a reasonable price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good results in a small package.
Usually use a TTL but wanted something I could stick in my pocket and use anywhere. With a bit of adjustment started getting some good results. Focus fast and accurate, pictures produced easily produce good A4 prints. optical zoom is pretty good but need plenty of light or a tripod for best results especially getting closer to the upper limit, not sure how it handles digital zoom out of habit always turn it off as it reduces picture quality. Slightly bigger than other cameras but with this much zoom it is to be expected. So far has met any expectations I had and I'm very happy with this purchase.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Compact camera, lightweight and with lots of features.

A good pocket zoom camera
It is becoming harder to find reasonably priced pocket cameras. My need was for a long zoom to complement my other cameras. I had looked long and hard at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX350 but it is £40 more than this camera. The Olympus is a plastic bodied camera with a metal front. Controls are minimal but adequate. Colour rendition and exposure are such that many photos need additional processing with software such as Snapseed or Elements. The long zoom does not always produce sharp results if the camera is unsupported. I attach two examples - the bell tower photo was unsuported (hand held) and for the other the camera was supported on a wall, Overall I think the camera is good and value for money. It shows it's age in having no wifi or bluetooth conectivity.

Bought this as a replacement to my first digital camera
I bought this to replace an Olympus Camedia that I have had for the last 10 years. The screen size is nice, I like the fact that is is compact and has a zoom, can fit easily into a handbag, it misses some of the functionality that I have on my smartphone, zoomed images are not very defined a bit pixelated which is why I gave it a 3 stars rather than 4.
