  • Outstanding Mechanical Keybaord

This keyboard is incredible. I was originally looking at the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid which was more in my budget (under $125 CAD). When I found this unit for a few dollars less than the QFR I pounced on it. I've been researching for some time and I know that Filco is synonymous with quality; I simply wasn't expecting to be able to find one in my price range. My unit came with Cherry MX Brown brown switches, which provide a small tactile bump as a feedback when the key is pressed. They are significantly quieter than the "clicky" MX Blues but they still provide a satisfying *clack" if you bottom out. I chose Browns because I read they are a good mix for typing and gaming. Typists tend to favor the Blues, but they would have been too clicky for my partner. Gamers tend to favor the linear (no bump) feedback of Reds, but this felt a little too much like my old rubber dome Dell keybaord. The Browns are a perfect mix of feel and sound for me. My advice here is to head to a local store and try some out to see which ones feel and sound best to you! Overall this keyboard feels very solidly built. At 2.2lbs it's weight is a little on the heavy side, but personally I think that's a good thing. The flip-up feet are rubberized, so they keyboard feels very stable and does not slide around. The "ninja" style keycaps are very nice. It gives the keyboard a very sleek blank keycap look when viewed from above. That said, I have no problem reading the side of the keys when seated so you don't need to worry about memorizing all the key locations. The tenkeyless design (without the numberpad) is perfect for me, as I wanted more room on my desk. They keyboard came with a USB-PS/2 adapter as well as a Filco key puller and two replacement Windows 10 style keys (in the ninja style - printed on the side instead of the top). My recommendation to anyone who is thinking about a mechanical keyboard is to check out online forums such as reddit's r/mechanicalkeyboards to learn more about what size, style and switches fit you and your budget. Then come back here and buy this last Filco! One small note: Don't be alarmed if you don't see "Majestouch 2" on the box. For some reason they left out the "2", but if you check the manufacturer sticker on the underside of the keyboard you can confirm it is a MJ2. Cheers!

  • This is amazing!!

I recently got into mechanical keyboards and I knew that it was between a Ducky or a Filco because I believe one should always purchase quality. I, however, wasn't a very big fan of the LEDs so I went for the Filco and I'm so happy I did. It has a nice heft and even though my keyboard uses Cherry MX Brown switches, I found the keys to have a nice resistance to them that others have said were present on a Filco but not other boards using the same switches. Very happy with my purchase.

  • Good keyboard, great value

Coming from an IBM model M it has similar weight, the rubber feet are grippy, and the design is solid. Actuation takes much less force, and key travel is greatly reduced. It does feel more plastic in comparison, but the ABS should hold up over time. For $80 it's a great value

  • My favorite MX board

As a serious keyboard enthusiast, this keyboard as well as all of the Filco Majestouch line have the best construction/pricing combination in the industry. It also has a timeless design that I appreciate, considering most mechanical keyboards these days bleed that cheap gamer look. I use this MX mechanical keyboard as my work daily driver consecutively for 3 years.

  • nice product

I like the sleek design of Filco, I had a blue switch 87 keys Ninja Majestouch 2 keyboard at home, and I decided to buy another for my office desktop. This one is almost brand new, brown switch has a good mechanic feeling but not as loud as blue switch, which is suitable for my case.
