Really nice kit. The black special edition really has a premium feel to it with lovely packaging ang included extras such as hood, camera case and lens filter. I think the black version looks better too. The silver x100 is let down by the painted finish, it should have been chromed like a proper leica. The x100 is a great camera. Image quality is good (not great though). Probably the thing to watch is the auto focus which can get confused occasionally. IMHO only the x100v betters it due to improved optics, but at 4x the price the original x100 is the better camera.

The original X100 with the Bayer sensor. Lovely skin tones, gorgeous files and is a classic camera from where Fujifilm mirror less started. It was great then and is now, the files have a unique look that resembles film. One for the collectors.

Great image quality. Way better value than any Leica M8.

This is by far the most desirable Rangefinder with OVF at its price to date.. there is the Leica M9 currently 'King' but with a standard Lens it is nearly 10 times the cost. I found the menu a bit complicated at first but after a few hours intensive study it became quite logical. if you are not into menu intensive control then this is not for you...it suits the more experienced photographer who would probably not use most of the options but who never the less would like them available that said, there is the ‘program’ setting with ‘shift’ for a quick and easy shooting experience with excellent results in the most difficult of lighting situations. I bought this as a touring Camera after reading the superb reviews and have not regretted it one bit.. the fixed lens is superb and pin sharp even wide open the body finish is as good as any top end manufacturer and the weight is tiny by comparison without the need to carry around a bag of lenses as with the ‘X-Pro 1. I went for the limited edition because it is the only one made with a ‘Black’ finish. it is quite pricy over the silver standard one but you do get a full kit with Case etc. which would probably cost over £200 extra. I like the features because I can manipulate the settings given my preferences.. I have large Hands and could easily alter settings without difficulty, the only snag is accidentally moving the Control Wheel when in use but there is a simple ‘lock’ to prevent this. my only gripe is the stupid piece of plastic that is used to shunt the battery against the terminals in the charger provided. apparently this charger is also used for a longer battery in Fuji’s range and this fills the gap left by the X100 one...given the price I find this quite insulting to any buyer and a cheap gimmick unworthy of this fine Camera.Read full review
