after running another brand card, this one
jumped out at me for one major reason - Asus used tall M.2 socket and a correspondingly tall standoff nut body, so there's a huge gap (1/4"+) between the backside of the SSD and the Hyper M.2 - allows for airflow behind the SSD. My other expansion card, there's was maybe 3/32" gap, which restricted air flow. Awesome factory card for adding more NVMe storage!
Asus original part for adding additional PCIe M.2 SSD drives to your system. This made it easy to add additional MVNe storage to my Maximus Hero VIII board which already had a smaller NVMe in the on-board M.2 slot. No further configuration was required, I just dropped it in and I was on my way. Verify compatibility with your board though.
