Made an awkward job easy (or expensive trip to Halfords) to remove crank for lubricating or adjusting bearings. Remove crank, insert extractor, turn outer bolt using spanner supplied and job done.

Bike extractor did what it needed to do and for the price, no complaints. The metal on the chrome half is soft, which may cause a potential issue over time as repeated contact with a spanner has caused the edges to round. The socket receives a star-shaped ratchet bit, as opposed to the square taper that I have on all my tools.

Crank arm removal is so simple with this tool & it was much cheaper than buying a very thin spanner needed to fit behind the pedal arm to tighten the crank. It was one of my better buys.
