Very effective thriller with gorgeous cinematography
Although "Deliverance" is known for the "squeal like a pig" scene, the film as a whole is a great viewing experience. Unlike many films today, the actors performed their own stunts, learning how to canoe dangerous rapids and rock climbing. Shot in rural Georgia, "Deliverance" sets the mood for the "man vs. nature" scenario, where four friends are put to the test in order to survive.
