Lots of fun...Well recommended buy.
In this 1960's invasion by another planet of Aliens, they would have found the earth a nice place to take over.One look at it today, and they would give it a miss....... However, it's all an imaginary trip into Hollywood's dream factory, at its best in this TV genre series. I am half way through and enjoying it a lot. Roy Thinnes, is excellent as the handsome Alien chaser who nobody believes that they are to kill and take over the planet earth. He tends to have a blank face in his acting, and who wouldn't seeing what he sees. (I liked Alan Ladd who also had this blank acting face.) Filmed in the period it was made in Technicolor, the prints are superb, and the thing I like is the lots of location set ups and minimal studio ones. Story line and plots are good and some of the 1940,s and 1950's actors I know from the era are guest stars who gets zapped by the Aliens. Special effect are of the period,don't compare them to CGI. Again from this period, some alluring beautiful actresses also adorn the action. If you like this genre, you, like me will watch this series time and time again.
