Easy Repair
I prised out the old washer jet using a flat head screwdriver with a cloth underneath it to protect paintwork. Study the replacement to understand the fitting. The hose pulled off easily from the old washer jet with careful use of pliers. I attached an Ikea foodbag clip to the hose to ensure that the hose did not retract into the car body until I was ready to attach the new washer jet to the hose. Attached the new washer jet to the hose. Tested whilst still loose. Pushed the new washer jet into the hole in the car body. Task completed (to my surprise) in five minutes. Easily fitted replacement - good price too!
I needed a new washer jet as the one I had before hadn't worked since the day I bought the car. Just one of those things you mean to sort out, but never get around to! One day I noticed the dirt on the road/lorries raelly clouded my rear window - so - IO thought it's time to get it sorted. Washer jet fixed
I didn’t believe the original jet was the cause of the blockage, but it was. After removing it and placing a clothes peg on the rubber pipe, to stop it going inside the rear door. Activating the washer, there was a healthy jet of water present. The old jet wouldn’t work even after placing in an ultrasonic bath for 1/2 hour. So a replacement was called for.
