When I had my DB34 Gold star engine rebuilt by Phil Pearson (the Gold star Guru) a few years ago, this is what he told me to use in the engine, which has run flawlessly. The only problem it has is that it wet sumps when left overwinter. This is the next problem to resolve so am waiting to have answers from the Gold Star Owners Club who I have written to about this annoying problem.

This is the very best oil for vintage motors, which often have slight internal wear. It is the only oil I would use in my pre-War Ariel or 1950s BSA.

I've used this product since 1961 in my Matchless G12 CSR gearbox. Summer and Winter - Eastern Mediterranean to Northern Scotland never a problem.
