you cannot use this fire with an extension lead. Checked with my nephew who is an electrician and he advised against. The fire itself is great and looks good. Wonderful value for the money - just now have to have a SSO installed.

Great little fire that has not just one but TWO seperately switchable heating elements along with a switchable fan with a speed control to boost the output! As well as all that there is the flame effect which is switchable and also has a intensity dial to control the amount of 'flame' you get ! - all of the controls are cleverly hidden away behind a hinged panel on the front. We use it a lot of the time with just the flame effect but no heating to bring a cheery log fire look to our room =D
