small , compact with good magnetic base this ariel is rather ' discreet ' but works well in the use I have put it to :- it comes with a handy chart for ' altering ' the frequency range by cutting the length shorter .... there is a BNC ' solid ' connection ; if you are using another type of connection an adaptor should be available for that : - I ' cut ' the ariel for reception in the range of my interest and hobby , aircraft . my scanner in the car works well and gets all the 2 way frequencies tht I get with my base station and external mast ariel at home : I do not have or use this for its advertised purpose , ie - taxi - but as it works very well in what I am using and have adapted it for I would say that it is a quality item tht does what it says...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
